Conference “Youth Against Violent Extremism” held in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina

The conference “Youth Against Violent Extremism” was held in Sarajevo on June 12, 2018, in the building of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia-Herzegovina. The conference aims to create conditions for a more effective fight against violent extremism through the exchange of experiences of representatives of the youth sector, international organizations, government institutions and the media.

The conference was organized by PRONI Center for youth development and Ministry of civil affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and it was implemented within a project “Youth against Violent Extremism”. The goal of this project is to provide support and increase the participation of young people in activities aimed at the prevention of violent extremism by prioritizing significant local and national engagement mechanisms, as outlined in the UN resolutions 2178 and 2250; and provide a physical, socially and emotionally safe and stimulating environment for the participation of young people in the prevention of violent extremism.
