AI4Youth online conference was a success!

On May 21, 2025, the AI4Youth Consortium successfully held the final online conference of the AI4Youth project, marking the conclusion of a collaborative initiative led by BackslashConnect International, and BUM.

Throughout the project, AI4Youth provided innovative e-learning opportunities to enhance AI literacy among youth workers and young people. The project focused on equipping them with the skills needed to understand and work with AI tools, laying the groundwork for meaningful engagement with technology in education and employment.

The final conference brought together youth workers, educators, policymakers, and young people from across Europe. It served as a key moment to share the project’s outcomes and build on the work initiated during the “Shaping the Future: AI4Youth” conference in February 2025. That earlier event played a crucial role in gathering input from stakeholders to help shape the project’s final policy proposals.

During the May conference, the Consortium presented its policy recommendations titled “Safeguarding Young People’s Education and Employment in the AI Era.” These recommendations were developed through expert research and enriched with insights from the wider youth sector. The event featured interactive discussions, group work, and the collective identification of actionable steps to ensure that AI is implemented in ways that are inclusive, ethical, and youth-centered.
