Social cohesion is a key priority for the EU, but many young migrants and refugees still face barriers to integration, from limited access to education to discrimination. With rising migration due to global crises, inclusive approaches are more important than ever. Cultural and artistic expression, especially street art, can break down these barriers since street art is deeply rooted in community voices and has the power to spark dialogue, challenge stereotypes, and promote inclusion.

The research within the project “PASS” explored how young street artists across Europe are using their creativity and digital tools to connect diverse communities. Through self-assessment surveys, we examined their skills, challenges, and needs for further training. These insights help us shape the PASS methodology and design capacity-building activities that are practical, engaging, and relevant.
