On April 29th, Connect held a multiplier event where the policy recommendations aiming at Safeguarding Young People’s Education and Employment in the AI Era were presented.
The proposals are the results of the research conducted by the AI4Youth consortium (including BUM, Backslash, and Connect), and the consultation we held last february with all relevant stakeholders in the digital field, from young people, to youth workers, tech experts, institutional representatives, and like minded individuals.
After presenting the policy recommendations, a panel was held where Connect’s general manager questioned representatives from the Advisory Council of Youth, European Centre of Excellence, and a senior Data Scientist on how AI molds online and offline environments, its impacts on young users, and how we should safeguard the ongoing digital revolution, keeping in mind that a complementary, human-centric AI is what we need most in today’s context.
