Kickoff meeting within the project Before They Hate

The kickoff meeting for the project Before They Hate (B4H8) was organized in November 2022 in Reykjavik, Iceland. In this project, partners from Iceland, Belgium, Scotland, Denmark, and Spain will work on hate speech prevention by training young leaders to carry on the work. Together with partners CONNECT representatives were discussing their roles and task division for the project. They also had a chance to meet with representatives of The City of Reykjavik, the Department of Education and Youth, and with the National Agency for Youth which is in charge of Erasmus+ Program implementation for Iceland.

The activity that follows in the beginning of 2023 is the development of concrete learning modules for fighting against hate speech among youth, focusing on gender-based and ethnic / religion-based hate speech.
